Mek Mulung is preserved and recognized by UNESCO as part of humanity’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. This UNESCO recognition aims to safeguard and promote the lively social interaction, dialogue, and cultural heritage associated with Mek Mulung, showcasing Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity and artistic expressions.
