BEETHOVEN Violin Concerto
HAYDN Symphony No. 2
SHOSTAKOVICH Symphony No. 9
Renowned for his innate musicality and mastery on the 1710 Stradivarius violin, Chengdu-born but Berlin-based violinist Ning Feng collaborates with the MPO to enchant the audience with Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, considered the composer’s most transcendent work with heartfelt melodies infused in a magnificent symphonic structure. The MPO continues to present Haydn’s Symphony No. 2 before culminating the concert in Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 9, a concise and transparent work with a complex emotional landscape.
