GLASS VIOLIN CONCERTO
Join the MPO as it takes you on a traversing musical journey through loss and love with Philip Glass’ beautiful Violin Concerto No. 1. Featuring violinist Charles Yang, this concerto was composed in memory of Glass’ late father, a testament that music can translate a deeply personal experience into a universal language. The concert will also witness the MPO presenting Mendelssohn Symphony No. 3 nicknamed “Scottish”. Katharina Wincor will lead this emotional and heartfelt outing.
