Preparing devices before gates open
Offline validation works best when preparation is treated as an event-day checkpoint. Event data must be current, devices must be charged, and the team must know exactly which scanner is assigned to each entry point.
Start with a final synchronization window after ticket sales, upgrades, guest-list changes, and ticket cancellations have been reviewed. Download the latest event data to every approved scanning device. Then test a small set of valid, invalid, canceled, and already-used tickets before guests arrive. A live test at the actual gate is more valuable than a test conducted hours earlier in an office.
Device readiness matters just as much. Fully charge scanners and keep power banks or charging stations available. Confirm that cameras scan clearly in the venue lighting, especially at outdoor evening events. Give the gate team decisions, not technical problems
