Malaysian-born classical musician Ibrahim Aziz returns to the country for a one-night-only performance playing the six-string viola de gamba. Ibrahim, who specialises in the performance of baroque, renaissance and contemporary music, will open the concert with GP Telemann Overture Suite for Gamba & Orchestra, one of the composer’s last Baroque suite, followed by the melodious Fiala Concerto in F major for Gamba & Orchestra. Mozart’s Symphony No. 39 concludes the evening. Don’t miss Ibrahim’s homecoming performance with the MPO under the leadership of Benjamin Bayl on the podium.
